“How Much Is Enough?”

Posted by on May 5, 2015 in Words From Our Pastor | 0 comments

We’ve all heard, maybe even said:  If only I had- “A New Phone-Faster Computer-Newer Car-Bigger House-A Million Dollars-etc.,” BUT THEN WHAT?

Searching and longing for STUFF will never satisfy!  Something new, better, bigger, will always come along and capture one’s appetite!

No matter our earthly status or wealth-[if exalted or unknown; having abundance or facing lack]—the fact is: It is the “Blessing of The Lord that makes us Rich.”  Earthly position, status, possessions are only temporary and easily come and go!  In Jesus, we are privileged to serve and proclaim the Power and Blessings of God’s Eternal Kingdom!

Realize Today:

1) In Christ Jesus are “hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col 2:3)

2) In Jesus, as Peter declares: “you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD,

A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may

proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His

marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE

OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.”

3) Because of Jesus’ Redemption, “He has made us to be a “kingdom and priests to our

God; and we will reign upon the earth.” (Rev. 5:10)

4) No matter what may come in this life, no one and nothing “shall separate us from the

love of Christ.”  …But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who

loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,

nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any

other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ

Jesus our Lord.  (Rom. 8:35, 37-39)

5) Our Lord God is “Jehovah Jireh.”  As we obediently obey and serve Him, He will “supply

all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!” (Phil. 4:19)

Reflection:  Memories of time past.  Thoughts of Success and moments of Failing, Joys and Sorrows– For some, the past continues to haunt, emotionally cripple, even steal away opportunities of the present and future.

As each day quickly passes, hear the exhortation of God’s Word; “forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:13-14)

Dont-Stumble

Yes, friend, we all carry past memories.  Yet, be challenged now and anew to fix your eyes on Jesus, for He has precious dreams and goals before you, this year and beyond!

Christian friends, it is critical we recognize the urgency of the hour.  We must look beyond ourselves and see the needs of broken hurting humanity.  I urge you, please hear and heed the call and commands of Jesus:  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel.”  Go tell the “Good News” –Jesus Saves, Heals, and Delivers!  Go by the power of the Holy Spirit and make Disciples!  Jesus alone can; “Heal Broken Hearts and Memories!”  Jesus alone can give “Hope and be our Peace in a world filled with turmoil!”

Uncertainty stirs numerous emotions within each of us.  Daily, we face The Unknown!  Events and life experiences touch and challenge us all—“Financial needs & obligations, Family relations, Physical needs and concerns, National and World Events, etc.”

Friend, “Uncertainty—Not Knowing,” can lead one to travel down a spiraling path to Hopelessness, Helplessness, and Destruction.  In contrast, “Uncertainty—Not Knowing” can, in turn, prove to be an opportunity to “Press In-Seek-Serve” the Lord Jesus!

Receive encouragement from God’s Word and Promises!  (Jn. 14:27)  Jesus says: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”  (Jn. 16:33)  Jesus declares: “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”  Be assured today, God does not lie.  His Word is Everlasting and Unchanging.  Jesus Loves You!  He alone is- Savior, Healer, Deliverer, Provider, Our Peace and Soon Coming King!

Whatever your need or concern might be; “Ask—Believe—Receive from Jesus’ outstretched hand.”  Allow the Holy Spirit to touch you with power!  Each Day and Hour—Trust the Everlasting God, Receive Jesus’ Peace to guard your heart and mind, Seek out and Follow the Holy Spirit’s direction, Believe for Miracles, Let Jesus prove Himself “More than Enough” for EVERY UNCERTAINTY AND UNKNOWN!

Expectations for 2015: “Looking Back—Pressing Forward”

Posted by on Mar 27, 2015 in Words From Our Pastor | 0 comments

Looking back at years past with the memories; witnessing the present signs of Winter ending with Spring and Summer pressing upon us, daily we are confronted with “Change.”

At Present, we are speeding through the year 2015.  We each possess dreams and goals to be pursued and realized.  Reflection on the past “Life Changes” stirs many memories of exciting and blessed experiences.  Other “Changes” bring to light memories with feelings of disappointment and difficulty, sometimes too hard to express in words.  Yes, the past is ours, but we must turn and press forward to capture the unknown and what lies before us.

Realize, no matter what may lie ahead, for Christians, our great Comfort and Certainty is:  “The Lord God does not Change!”  “Jesus Christ is the Same Yesterday and Today, yes and Forever.” (Heb. 13:8)  We must look to Him in every situation and leading in life.  We must know, “that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28)  Change is Exciting when You Know Jesus is in control and will bless us with His Great Gifts!
